Postcard marketing is perhaps the quintessential marketing tool for just about any small business. Due to their size, postcards can easily be mailed, handed out, or included in all of your marketing materials. They can also be handed out at trade shows, business meetings and other corporate functions.

Below are the top tips for creating the perfect postcard for your business efforts.

Size – Consider the size that your postcards are going to be. Obviously, oversized and large postcards tend to get the most eyeballs. They not only allow you to properly explain your business, but also allow the recipient to understand the information in a way that is both concise and comprehensible.

Copy – Make sure that the copy you include on your postcard uses simple words, and short sentences. By being as brief as possible, you are more able to understand the content, and allow your prospect to digest everything in as short of time as possible.

Shape – If you’re not mailing the postcard, you should consider a die cut postcard. Die cuts are the perfect way to stand out. If chosen correctly, die cuts can also provide more room as you can form the shape based on the content. This provides a customized feel as well as a great way to introduce your services.

Colors – Make sure that the color you use are complimentary to your brand’s identity. They should all be bright and inviting, while also being looking like they belong within your color scheme.

When you are done creating your postcard, be sure that the postcards are in line with all of your other goals. They should be easy to track, and be able to provide full contact information to all of your recipients.Image Source: http://images.google.com
