Whether you want a memento for yourself or a couple for the kids, there are some clever ways you can go about saving money on souvenirs at Disney parks. Sometimes with theme park admission and food cost being so high you may feel pressured to look for cheaper souvenirs. Here’s a guide to some cool stuff you might want to check out.
Autograph books or pens. You can find autograph books for just a few dollars. If you want to purchase some before getting to theme parks and then just buy some fun Disney pens while you are there that is another way to save. Once you have your books and pens all you will need are some autographs. This can also turn into another souvenir-a photo keepsake. Many of the character meet and greets allow for autograph and photo opportunities so this is almost like getting a freebie souvenir, and what’s better than that?!
Pressed pennies. Throughout the Disney parks you will find stands where you can get pressed pennies. These typically cost just 51 cents and leave you with something to take with you when you leave. Another benefit to the pennies is that they are easy to carry around while spending the day out and about at the parks.
Postcards. There are so many different postcards from which to choose and many of them feature pictures of the Disney theme parks and various Orlando-area attractions so that you can look at them at a later date and recall your trip. Some Disney attractions even provide e-mail postcards free of charge. Found at different destinations like Innovations inside of Epcot, these e-mail postcards allow you to send to your relatives a personalized greeting from specific locations.
Photos. You will find a variety of photo-purchasing opportunities throughout the Disney parks. Whether you wish to pay for a photo of your family stopped at a certain part of the park or one that captures you in the moment on a roller coaster, options are abound. These can typically be purchased for under $20 and they’re good because they act as a memento for everyone in your party.
Key chains or pins. What’s great about these items is that they are easy to put in your pocket or purse so that they won’t pose a challenge to walk around with. They typically cost just a few dollars and many of them even feature engraved or painted-on names to add a personal touch.
Candy. Throughout the gift shops and of course in the candy shops themselves, you will find a variety of edible souvenirs. For just a few dollars you can purchase a variety of lollipops and other confectionery delights.
Epcot World Showcase souvenirs. These souvenirs are most unique because you will find that each country in the World Showcase has gift shops that pertain to a specific culture. So a cool way to save money is to make a small gift basket once you have purchased an inexpensive item from each country.
Collector cups. Since you are purchasing a drink anyway, why not spend just a couple of dollars more and opt for the collector cup?!
Clearance merchandise. A variety of clearance merchandise can be found throughout Disney gift shops. Whether they are seasonal or discontinued items, clearance souvenirs can sometimes be great deals because you will get such amazing discounts.
Other options. Once you’ve purchased a couple of small souvenirs from the Disney theme parks you can always buy more from local gift shops outside of the parks. Many of the shops you will find throughout Kissimmee and on International Drive advertise super cheap Disney shirts or other apparel as well as plush toys, figurines, snow globes and other trinkets.Image Source: http://images.google.com
